CAREL Reports 34% Cut in Scope 1 and 2 Emissions in 2025

CAREL has published its 2025 ESG Highlights, outlining the Group’s approach to sustainability and the main results achieved during the year. The document confirms the integration of ESG criteria into the company’s strategy and business model.

The ESG Highlights describe the “Driven by the Future” journey, based on innovation, environmental responsibility, people development and solid governance. In 2025, CAREL launched a second multi-year Sustainability Plan, strengthening its emissions reduction targets in line with the Paris Agreement and aiming to progressively reduce Scope 1 and 2 emissions through to 2050.

Among the key results, the Group reduced Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 34% compared to 2023, increased the share of renewable energy in total consumption to 58%, and reached 1.2 GWh of self-produced electricity from photovoltaic panels.

CAREL also reported continued work on eco-design, LCA studies and the development of highly energy-efficient solutions for the HVAC/R sector. The document also covers initiatives related to inclusion, training, safety, local communities, a responsible supply chain, ethics and integrity.

The Group confirmed its commitment to gender equality. In 2025, the audit review of the Gender Equality Management System, certified in accordance with the Italian UNI/PdR 125:2022 reference practice, showed an improved score, while training activities on diversity and gender equality increased significantly.

“For CAREL, sustainability is not a secondary issue, but the very foundation of our business model: a concrete, measurable and shared journey, made possible by the daily commitment of our people,” said Carlotta Rossi Luciani, Sustainability Executive Director at CAREL.
