EXKAL is leading the MUEFIREC 2026 project to develop a new generation of more efficient and sustainable refrigerated display cabinets. The innovation project, Ultra-Efficient Commercial Refrigeration Cabinets through Advanced Coatings, is being carried out in collaboration with GLS and LUREDERRA.
The project aims to reduce energy consumption in commercial refrigeration through new technologies. These include advanced coatings designed to prevent ice build-up, improved insulation systems, and solutions that use waste heat generated by the equipment.
According to the project description, these improvements are expected to reduce electricity consumption, lower environmental impact, and improve food preservation.
Through MUEFIREC, EXKAL continues to invest in innovation and in a refrigeration model described as more efficient, sustainable, and ready for the future.
