Güntner Group in Germany appoints data center business leader

Güntner Group has appointed Yan Evans as Managing Director, Global Data Center Business, strengthening its leadership for data center cooling activities across its portfolio.

Evans joins the heat exchange technology company from FläktGroup, where he built and led global data center operations from 2018 to 2025. According to Güntner Group, his work covered the EMEA, AMER and APAC regions.

In the new role, Evans will lead data center activities across the Güntner and JAEGGI brands. The company said the position brings data center expertise across the group’s brands under a unified leadership structure.

Working with regional leadership, Evans will support business expansion in key global markets and deepen partnerships with data center operators and hyperscalers as demand for digital infrastructure continues to accelerate.

“Data centers are a key and rapidly growing focus for Güntner Group, where we already have a strong and established position. As AI, cloud and critical infrastructure continue to scale, the sector needs partners who have a global manufacturing footprint and can scale to meet demand, while delivering performance, efficiency, and reliability,” said Michael Bauer, Head of Global Sales, Growth, and Success at Güntner Group.

“Güntner Group has strong expertise in the data center space, with proven technologies, globally operating teams, and trusted customer relationships. With increasing focus on performance, energy efficiency and sustainability, there is a clear opportunity for Güntner Group to further build on this position, working closely with customers as their requirements grow in scale and complexity,” said Yan Evans.
