Lennox expands North American water heater range with Ariston

Lennox has marked the first anniversary of its joint venture with Ariston Group, which introduced residential gas, electric and heat pump water heaters in North America during its first year. The partnership expanded Lennox’s home comfort portfolio and was established to combine its distribution and controls platform with Ariston’s water heating expertise.

The water heater range includes models with heavy-gauge steel construction and PermaClad glass lining for corrosion protection. Selected models also feature magnesium or aluminum anode rods with the SediMotion system, FillSafe Protection and Lennox Lock flammability protection.

Compatible systems can be monitored and controlled through the Lennox Home Comfort app. Lennox said sales and demand during the initial launch period exceeded plans.

The partners plan to expand the number of Lennox stores carrying water heaters, scale distribution through the company’s HVAC network and continue dealer training. They are also targeting underpenetrated U.S. regions and demand for high-efficiency and heat pump water heaters.

“During the past year, we've entered the water heating category by prioritizing dealer training and integration with our existing distribution network and controls platform,” said Sarah Martin, EVP and President of Lennox Home Comfort Solutions. “Early results have proven successful, and now we are focused on scaling distribution, expanding product availability, and increasing share across both HVAC and plumbing channels.”
