Safe Monitoring Group acquires Singapore gas detection specialist CitiSafe

Safe Monitoring Group AB has completed the acquisition of CitiSafe Pte. Ltd., a Singapore-based company focused on gas detection systems sales and service. The deal gives Safe Monitoring Group its first presence in the Asia-Pacific region and marks the start of its APAC growth plan.

Founded in Singapore in 2007, CitiSafe supplies, services, calibrates and rents occupational health and safety instruments for gas detection.

Following the acquisition, CitiSafe will work with Safe Monitoring Group across sales, service, procurement and marketing. According to the companies, the integration will give customers in APAC and other markets access to a wider portfolio of products, services and technical expertise.

Safe Monitoring Group acquired 100% of the shares in CitiSafe, with the transaction effective April 14, 2026. Under the agreement, CitiSafe Managing Director Michael Maxwell also became a shareholder in Safe Monitoring Group.

“CitiSafe represents a key milestone for Safe Monitoring Group as we take our first step into APAC,” said Alexander Larsson, CEO of Safe Monitoring Group. “Their strong reputation and technical expertise make them an ideal partner as we expand our global footprint and continue delivering innovative, sustainable safety solutions.”
