SNS Insider forecasts refrigerated display cases market at USD 19.92bn by 2035

SNS Insider said the global refrigerated display cases market was valued at USD 11.07 billion in 2025 and is projected to reach USD 19.92 billion by 2035, growing at a CAGR of 6.06% during 2026–2035. The report links demand to supermarkets, convenience stores and quick-service restaurants, as well as urbanization and cold chain infrastructure development.

According to the report, stricter environmental rules on low-GWP refrigerants and demand for energy-efficient systems are accelerating product upgrades. SNS Insider also said automated temperature control, remote diagnostics and IoT-powered tracking are improving operations and reducing downtime, while food safety requirements and demand for longer-lasting products continue to support installations.

By display type, glass door display cases held the largest share at 37.40% in 2025, while countertop display cases were the fastest-growing segment with a CAGR of 23.00%. By type, plug-in systems led with a 45.85% share in 2025, and remote systems were forecast to post the fastest growth at a CAGR of 36.85%. By design, vertical systems accounted for 41.60% of the market in 2025, while hybrid designs were projected to grow at a CAGR of 21.40%. By end use, retail stores held a 55.20% share in 2025, and food service was the fastest-growing segment with a CAGR of 44.80%.

Regionally, North America accounted for 31.80% of the market in 2025, supported by retail infrastructure, supermarket and hypermarket penetration, and cold chain logistics, according to SNS Insider. Asia-Pacific was identified as the fastest-growing regional market, with a CAGR of 7.37%. The report also cited recent product activity by Hussmann Corporation, which in February 2025 updated its refrigerated display case lineup for AIM Act compliance with low-GWP refrigerants including R-290 and R-454C, and by Danfoss, which on January 29, 2026 launched the AK-CC25 Pro controller for plug-in, integral and remote TXV refrigerated display cases.
