ATF, Galileo, UNEP and IIR Prepare International Special Issue

ATF, Centro Studi Galileo, UNEP OzonAction and the International Institute of Refrigeration held two working meetings in Paris on Friday, June 12, to prepare the new edition of the International Special Issue of Industria & Formazione.

The international publication is promoted by Centro Studi Galileo in cooperation with UNEP – United Nations Environment Programme, Associazione Tecnici del Freddo – ATF, IIR – International Institute of Refrigeration and AREA.

Marco Buoni, Silvia Romanò and Luisa Girolami represented Centro Studi Galileo and ATF. UNEP OzonAction was represented by Jim Curlin, Acting Head of OzonAction Law Division, and Sonja Wagner, Programme Management Officer. Yosr Allouche, Director General of the International Institute of Refrigeration, attended for the IIR.

The meetings were held on the same day in two separate sessions with UNEP and IIR. They focused on reviewing abstracts received from authors, defining the article schedule, evaluating possible guidance for contributors and setting the overall structure of the magazine.

As in previous editions, the International Special Issue will be a technical and institutional publication based on contributions from experts from international bodies, universities, associations and research institutes.

The new issue coincides with two sector milestones: the 20th anniversary of the International Special Issue and the 10th anniversary of the signing of the Kigali Amendment to the Montreal Protocol. The meetings also covered joint initiatives for presenting the magazine and strengthening cooperation between Centro Studi Galileo, UNEP and IIR, including activities during OEWG Week in Bangkok, MOP in Kigali and events planned for Chillventa.
